What is Jigsaw?

On 26th January 2018 we held an Afternoon Tea for parents to find out all about our Jigsaw Currculum.  Thank you to all those who came.

You can view the presentation here.  If at any time to wish to know more or ask any questions regarding Jigsaw please feel free to ask your child's class teacher or myself, Mrs Catterall at any time.

Further information can also be found on the curriculum area of the PSHE page.

There will be another event, looking at Growing up and Relationships in the Summer term.  Please look out for a parent mail advertising this nearer the time.

Kind Regards

Mrs Catterall

NSPCC

In the summer of 2018 every class in our school discussed the NSPCC’s Underwear Rule. This was part of our partnership with the NSPCC.

This is designed to teach pupils how to stay safe from sexual abuse, without giving

explicit information or telling scary stories or even using the term “sexual abuse.”

In the lesson, children learnt about the ‘PANTS’ acrostic, which stands for:

• Privates are private

• Always remember your body belongs to you

• No means no

• Talk about secrets that upset you

• Speak up, someone can help

The lessons were delivered in a way that’s fully age-appropriate.

More information about the Underwear Rule, including a short film and a parent

guide can be found at nspcc.org.uk/underwearrule.
