At Longton Primary School, we implement our PSHE curriculum in alignment with the SCARF PSHE/RSE framework. This approach includes regular assessment tasks that occur every term, allowing staff to evaluate and gain insights into the knowledge and skills pupils have acquired throughout each unit of work.
In accordance with our curriculum intent, we have established a foundation subject tracking system. This system will effectively capture our ongoing assessments of each child, providing valuable information on how well the SCARF curriculum is being implemented and the progress our pupils are making. It will also help gauge the overall impact on their learning. By utilising this information, teachers will be able to plan targeted learning opportunities that cater to individual needs, ensuring that all children are able to make progress toward meeting the end-of-year expectations. Final judgements regarding the attainment of these expectations will be made at the close of the academic year and shared with parents.
