We have had a lovely week with lots of Easter activities.
The children have made cards, we have had our Easter bonnet parade, Easter bingo and our Easter service in church.
You are all very talented designers, the bonnets were amazing. Well done.
Hickory's Brunch, by Mrs Fletcher

Today 10 children from Year 2 to Year 6 had an amazing time at Hickory's. The group all earned the reward by reading every day. Names were drawn in each class from a lucky dip of all the children who have read every day . The children had an amazing time, making milkshakes, eating popcorn and pancakes. They also spent some time in the cinema, read their books, chatted, laughed and had fun.
Will you be in the next group of children who go for brunch? Read every day each week and yoyr name will get entered into the draw.

The zebras thoroughly enjoyed their history visitor learning even more about the great fire of London.
It linked to our science learning about flammable materials and fire safety as part of our PSHE curriculum.

A special thank you Mrs Reagan who has helped the children make their healthy wraps today. We practised our being healthy, by cleaning all the surfaces before hand, giving our hands a good wash and washing up afterwards.

Where’s Wally theme was a huge success. The children looked fantastic, they have written some amazing postcards all about what Wally saw on one of his adventures.
The children have brought home their very own Where’s Wally activity book, as a gift from us, so they can continue to enjoy reading for pleasure at home as well as school.

Today we started our football unit of work.
To warm up we played the bean game. Can you tell what type of bean we are acting out?
We had to practice kicking a ball straight using the inside of our foot. We practised dribbling a ball between cones trying to keep it close to our feet so we had control of the ball.

This week our maths lessons are all about length. Here we are using metre rulers to find things longer and shorter than a metre.
Why don’t you practise at home. Find objects, write them down then use a ruler or tape measure to find out how long they are. Remember to put the units of measure. cm or m.

Our RE topic this half term has focused on Hinduism. We have disucssed how Hindus show their devotion to god through worshipping different deities. We learnt about Puja and read Hindu stories.

In science we have been learning about life cycles. We read through statements and matched them to the correct stage of the life cycle.
We have explored how exercise affects our bodies. Inreasing our rate of breathing and our heart rate/pulse.
We have looked at what makes a healthy diet and the different food groups we should be eating.
