Takeover Day, by Mrs Fletcher
Date: 18th Jul 2016 @ 9:40am
Today is the annual Takeover Day at Longton Primary School.
This morning the Giraffes have 5 new teachers from Year 6 Mr Green, Mr Lok, Miss John, Miss Coulthard and Miss Jusypiw. The first lesson was maths where the children used their knowledge of symmetry to create beautiful symmetrical pictures. Just before playtime the class did their mile run.
After play it was time for writing. The children were set the challenge of using adverbs to describe settings and characters. Next followed spelling where great fun was had trying to solve a very tricky word search containing le and el words.
Fllowing dinner time came art where the task was to design your own holiday home.
Thank you for a great day 😀
